With concerns over COVID-19 increasing by the day, we wanted to share with the Fyt community the steps we’re taking to ensure you stay healthy and safe during your fitness journey.
Fortunately, since 90% of Fyt sessions occur in client homes, building gyms or outdoors which are cleaner and less crowded than traditional health clubs, the risk of transmission should be lower. Nevertheless, it is still important that we remain vigilant:
- If you feel ill or are displaying fever or respiratory symptoms, you should not be training. If you already have a session booked, please notify us and your trainer as soon as possible so we can cancel your session. If a session needs to be cancelled due to illness, our late cancellation policy will be waived.
- We are in frequent communication with our trainers and have provided them best practices to minimize transmission as prescribed by the CDC. For example, they are under strict guidance to cancel sessions if they are sick or displaying symptoms. They have also been instructed to clean and disinfect any equipment they bring to your location before and after each session.
- Fyt’s mission is to make fitness and personal training as accessible, convenient and safe as possible. In these uncertain times, we are pleased to introduce virtual training. Our trainers will still be offering the same great service and personalization, just via the communication channel of your choice! Skype, FaceTime, Hangouts – let us know what you prefer and we’ll be there!

P.S. Here are a couple of more hygiene tips from the CDC to keep in mind while you train: do your best to avoid touching your mouth, nose or eyes during your session and wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds immediately after each session. Better yet, take a nice long shower!
